Environmental Policy
Felix Kanungwe

Felix Kanungwe Kalaba is a Professor of Ecosystem Services and Climate Change with over 19 years of experience in forestry and environmental research. He holds a BSc in Forestry (Copperbelt University), an MSc in Forest Science (Stellenbosch University), and a PhD in Environment (University of Leeds). His work spans forestry, biodiversity, climate change, carbon projects, and vulnerability assessments in Africa. He has developed climate finance manuals and led various climate-related projects. Prof. Kalaba played a key role in shaping national policies and facilitated the EU-Zambia Forest Partnership Roadmap, signed at COP27. A Lead Author for the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, he received the Environment and Climate Change Award for research leadership in 2021. He also serves as Board Chairperson of the African Research Impact Network (ARIN) and has published extensively on environmental policy and climate adaptation.
