Tendai has nearly a decade of experience in environmental and climate change policy, finance, adaptation, and mitigation. His expertise spans sustainability, ESG, climate policy, carbon markets (A6, CCM A6.4, CDM, VCM), renewable energy, land use, and food security. He has been involved in carbon market activation, feasibility assessments, and climate finance concept development. His project portfolio includes forest carbon, e-vehicles, off-grid solar, biodiversity payments, carbon rice farming, clean cooking, biochar, climate-smart agriculture, geothermal energy, and green hydrogen. While focusing on Zimbabwe, Namibia, and South Africa, his experience extends across sub-Saharan Africa. He has worked with stakeholders, development agencies, and advisory bodies, mainstreaming Environmental and Social Safeguards in projects for KfW, EU, and AfDB. Tendai’s blend of technical, policy, and programming skills makes him a key player in addressing Africa’s climate and sustainability challenges.
