Bryn Canniffe

Bryn Canniffe has been part of the Secretariat of the Irish Climate Change Advisory Council since November 2022. Previously, he held various roles at Namibia’s Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism, contributing to the national implementation of UN Conventions on Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Desertification. He holds a BA in Geography and Development Studies from SOAS and King’s College London and a BA in International Marketing and Languages from Dublin City University. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s in GIS and Earth Observation for Environmental Modeling and Natural Resource Management. His expertise includes strategic planning, environmental policy, project development, and funding proposals. He has also provided secretarial services for high-level committees, organized conferences, and facilitated consultative processes. Bryn’s work focuses on research, policy formulation, and monitoring within the environmental sector.
